Android, The best Operating System for Mobiles and Smart Phones

Few years back, almost before 2007 mobile phones were not very much involved in our daily lives and they were not as smart as they are today. Then on 5th November, 2007 Google unveiled its open source operating system for handhelds and named it Android. And from 2007 to 2015 lots of changes came into operating systems for handhelds and our daily lives. Today, our devices do half our works, from memos, reminders, pictures, internet surfing to our emails. So let’s cherish about it and discuss a little about Android and its features.

First of all unlike most of the other operating systems android is an Open Source Project which means that developers can use the code and make custom stuff for it and which is very famous these days such as custom ROM’s and apps.

You buy an Android device let’s say LG which is running LG’s android UI that is UX  but you are a fan of Google’s pure android AOSP, no problem at all just root your device and install a custom recovery, download AOSP rom for your model and roll it in.

Let’s discuss about some features of android we love.

  • It is purely an open source and code is available for developers to play with it.
  • Android comes in various shapes and designs and hardware by different companies so you can buy one with your choice and budget.
  • Android is totally free in all cases, you loved a song? Download it and play instead of any synchronizations or stuff.
  • Media support such as external memory cards and removable batteries is a really good plus point of android and this is time saving and handy. But unfortunately these features looks like going dead as companies nowadays don’t use removable backs very often.

So if you love freedom and want to have fun while messing around and playing with your OS, android is what you deserve and need.
